Location – Situated in the Kandy and Matale districts, the Knuckles Mountain Range extends through areas such as Rangala, Riverton, Laggala, Meemure, and Deanston.

Elevation – The range stands at 1,200m to 1,900m above sea level, with its highest peak being Gombaniya (2,032m).

Conservation Status – As a protected forest reserve, it is managed by Sri Lanka’s Forest Department.
